LinkedIn Gets a Little More Personalized Platform:

LinkedIn Update: LinkedIn recently introduced two new features to its homepage, “Who’s Viewed Your Updates” and “You Recently Visited.” Appearing in the right-hand column, these features are intended to make your day easier with the knowledge you need to be productive and successful. Now, you will be able to see who has viewed your updates and what you have visited yourself. Here’s a look into both of these enhancing new features:

  • “Who’s Viewed Your Updates” is a preview of what you have shared over two weeks. It indicates how many of your status updates and shared news gets viewed, liked and commented on, and by whom, and whether those people are in your first, second or third circle of contacts; all-in-all, providing you with real-time feedback.
  • “You Recently Visited” allows you to track personal profiles that you’ve viewed, searches that you’ve made, and group discussions you’ve viewed or participated in. You will now be able to retrace your steps, reengage in conversations or follow-up more easily. This can be a simple way to track what you’ve done in case you need to return to something.

Benefits: With these new features, B2B sales professionals can now easily see content they read and share as it resonates within their network. Having this information available – without even a click of a button – will allow them to measure how well their followers engage with their content. It will also provide more opportunities to build up their professional brand, while connecting with new professionals that have shared interests. The best part is it’s completely free!

Will these new features get you sharing content more often on LinkedIn? How will you use these tools to help enhance your professional brand?
