This week in social media, Twitter announced a new scheduling feature that allows users to delay Tweets for up to one year.

Here are step-by-step instructions to get started:

1. Access your Twitter account from www.ads.twitter.com

2. Click the “compose Tweet” icon (blue square with white feather) in the top right-hand corner of the webpage

3. Compose your tweet and choose the “Scheduling” tab

4. Choose the date and time you’d like the Tweet to be sent – but keep in mind that the only time zone available (for now, anyway) is Pacific – three hours behind us in Toronto – and you’ll need to schedule accordingly.

Benefit: Your B2B company can schedule Tweets to be released during times you’re out of the office, like weekends and holidays. Another benefit of having this feature built directly in Twitter is that there’s no cost to access the tool.

Were you using a third-party scheduler before this announcement? Will you start scheduling directly from Twitter now? Let us know in the comments below, we’d love to hear from you!
