Vine Goes Viral

Date: January 24, 2013

Platform: Twitter

Update: Twitter announced their acquisition of Vine – an application that allows users to produce short, six-second video clips from their mobile device, which can be tweeted immediately after filming.  See an example of one here.

Benefit: Your B2B company can get a lot more information packaged in a six-second video clip than it can in 140 characters of text. Also, because video is more visually appealing then a Tweet, it is likely to be more engaging and thus you would receive a superior reach. In comparison to webpages, search results with a video have a 28 per cent higher click through rate than normal text search results, according to Adjust Your Set.
